Thanks to the efforts of some good friends of ours, we're able to offer some pictures by real photographers, starting with some of the best that Gerry Frechette could offer. Then we move on to offerings of Tom Posthuma and finish up with our Seattle-area friend, Casey Binz. Left: A more successful Canadian effort was mounted by Calgary's Roger Bateman in the Mopac Auto Supply-sponsored "Showdown" flopper. He won his first round match, but dropped out in the second round against Pat Austin.
Right: North Vancouver's Howie Stevens also went to the second round with his C/A Comp Eliminator Ford Probe.

In the last pair of the first round of Federal-Mogul Dragster eliminations, Brandon Henkelman in the "Henkelmonster" (far side) blows away Mike "Not THAT Mike" Austin with low e.t. of the meet, an awesome 5.23 at 269 mph.
