The 7th annual PRO MOD vs FUEL ALTERED SHOWDOWN at NorthStar Dragway

Pro Mod vs Fuel Altered Showdown

It only takes a single picture to tell a story, but this short bit of text takes four shots to tell the story of the final round at the 7th annual Pro Mod versus Fuel Altered Showdown at NorthStar Dragway. We'll have much more on the event (hopefully... hint, hint :-) but for now, these few pictures will have to suffice.

---

Here's two shots from different angles of the final round of Pro Mod vs Fuel Altered, with Kebin Kinsley in the nitro-burner versus Kevin Hargett in the turbocharged Pro Mod. The altered must have been running a serious load as the flames were wing-high on the launch.

---

The scoreboards (LEFT) tell the tale as the Pro Mod fell short of the Fuel Altered, despite running a career best 3.886 at 197.20 mph. In the winning lane, Kinsley drove it out the back door, setting low e.t. of the meet at 3.595, and breaking the track record with a booming 223.55 mph blast on the 1/8-th mile track. It's not hard to pick the winner (RIGHT) as Kinsley is all smiles, while Hargett tries his best to turn a grimace into a smile. And he doesn't quite get it done.
