After an awesome opening shot (5.166 - 280.25) during Thursday's first qualifying session, Surrey, BC's Shawn Cowie followed that up this morning with an even better clocking of 5.162 - 280.25 during today's second round of eliminations. It ranks as the QUICKEST supercharged alcohol dragster pass in the history of the sport. He'll have a chance to equal or better those numbers in the semi-final round against fellow blown alky competitor, Chris Demke who laid down one of his quickest passes in a long time one pair earlier, clocking a very good 5.225 - 277.89 to eliminate the quicker A/FD of Julie Nattas (5.242).
