MORE TRAVELS WITH BOB

Two years after the project started, we finally have what to appears to be a complete and ready to run Top Alcohol Dragster. "Appears" is the operative word, as there are still a myriad of small details to attend to in the five months I'm back in Canada, before we start the 2000 racing season downunder.

Barely a week before I left Oxenford to return to Canada, we decided it was time to snap a few pics showing the car almost complete. Just to see if I could still fit into the cockpit after nearly three years out of it, I got dressed up and climbed in. Either the roll cage shrunk a bit or.... I put on a few pounds in the inerval, but it was definitely a snug fit. Even the firesuit and helmet seemed to have shrunk.

Turn to the next, and last, page of this gallery to see what the car looks like with the body on and everything finished -- more or less -- before I return to Australia for the 2000 drag racing season.
